WOODWORKING CLASSES

Small Group Classes
One of the great things we get to do here is share the knowledge
of woodworking so, if you have always wanted to try woodworking
but didn't know where to begin, this may be the path for you. We
teach hands-on sessions, customized to your specific needs.
Your current knowledge, abilities and goals are combined with
practical, achievable projects to help you develop your
woodworking skills.
All classes are hands on,
practical, and focused. Come ready to work, learn and try.

BEGINNING WOODWORK I
$350
, Materials Fee $50 |
No experience required is required for this
class as it is intended for the basics of woodworking.
Some of the topics include:
Basic Furniture Design
Milling Wood using the Jointer, Planer, Chop Saw
Basic Joinery using the Table Saw and Router
Construction, Finish Preparation & Basic Finishing

WOODWORK II
$420, Materials Fee $150* |
This course is for students who wish to
extend their skills covered in Beginning Woodwork and to
complete a small piece of furniture. The
project will be designed by the student and approved by the
instructor.
* Students may purchase their own materials in which case
the materials fee for the class is $50.
Prerequisite: Beginning Woodwork I
This class has three sessions June 25th -
July 16th(Fri/Sat)
- Session 1: June 25th 5pm - 8pm, June
26th 8am -12pm
- Session 2: July 9th 5pm - 8pm, July 10th
8am-12pm
- Session 3: July 16th 5pm - 8pm, July
17th 8 am- 12pm

Covers the following topic areas:
- Router basics
- Plunge & Fixed
- Ploughing & Mortising
- Edging & Beading
- Template & Curved work
- Stopped Routing

FINISHING FOR WOODWORKERS
$300, Materials Fee $50 |
Covers the following topic areas:
- Surface preparation (flat & complex
surfaces, fixing defects)
- Coloring wood (Dyes, Stains, Natural,
Chemical,
- Fillers & Sealers
- Reactive Finishes (e.g.. Oil, Varnish)
- Evaporative Finishes (e.g.. Shellac)
- Finishing The Finish

If you would like to
attend one of these classes, please complete the registration
form and send with your tuition check. There are a limited
number of places in each class and they are available on a first
come, first serve basis.

Tools & Equipment Required |
Shop is fully and extensively equipped. No
tools are required.
All students are required to wear eye and hearing protection, no
exceptions (available for use in shop).

ONE ON ONE - PRIVATE CLASSES
The schedule and length of each session are mutually arranged
with the instructor.
A minimum of 4 hours is required at registration.

Any one session is a minimum of two hours and a maximum of 4
hours unless approved by instructor.

$50 per hour
