WOODWORKING CLASSES

One of the great things we get to do here is share the knowledge of woodworking so, if you have always wanted to try woodworking but didn't know where to begin, this may be the path for you. We teach hands-on sessions, customized to your specific needs.   Your current knowledge, abilities and goals are combined with practical, achievable projects to help you develop your woodworking skills.

BEGINNING WOODWORK 1

No experience required is required for this eight week class as it is intended as an introduction to the process and machinery used in woodworking.  Some of the topics include:

- Basic Furniture Design
- Milling Wood using the Jointer, Planer, Chop Saw
- Basic Joinery using the Table Saw and Router
- Construction, Finish Preparation & Basic Finishing

Weekly classes begin:   

  • January 7th 2012 8:30am - 10:30am each week for 8 weeks

BEGINNING WOODWORK 2

This 10 week course is for students who wish to extend their skills covered in Beginning Woodwork and who want to complete a small piece of furniture (design provided by instructor) . The project will be refined by the student and approved by the instructor.   The student must have completed Beginning Woodwork 1 with FSFW in order to qualify for this class. 

Weekly classes begin:    January 4th -  To be confirmed

Optional materials Fee $150. 
This is an optional fee as students may purchase their own materials. 
No reclaimed, salvaged, no exotics.
PRIVATE CLASSES

Cost:  $50 per hour

The schedule and length of each session are mutually arranged with the instructor.

The topics/syllabus are worked out through discussion with the instructor.

Any one session is a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4 hours unless approved by instructor.
