When I was a young, I remember reading story about a little girl that sailed away on a pirate boat to the “Antipodes” –a far away land where new and wonderful adventures could be had.  It turns out that for England (land of my birth and my heart), the Antipodes is Australia, which was one of the nationalities of our clients.

As we worked on this piece, we found ourselves enjoying each new element that we tackled.  The complicated lattice, the fragility of the mica, the smell of the Blackwood (dry warm spice), the beautiful figured maple. It’s been a great journey for us as woodworkers.

Design enables the installation of a wine refrigerator.  Interior cabinet is lit, Lattice is backed with mica.
